The Pagbabalik Project and Las Positas College invite you to join us next SATURDAY, DECEMBER 8 for a 50-minute excerpt of the show with post-show discussion at Las Positas College in Livermore (about 40 minutes east of Oakland). It follows a Filipina daughter's return to the land of her heritage and to the ghosts that inhabit her legacy." – Elmaz Abinader, award-winning author and playwright, "Country of Origin" The Pagbabalik Project and Las Positas College Division of Arts and Communication invite you to join us for an performance excerpt & discussion of "Pagbabalik" (Return), the multidisciplinary theatre production that wowed audiences at La Peña Cultural Center in October 06 and June 07 and has been featured at APAture 2006, CounterPULSE' s Stream Fest, Laney College Theatre and more! The production, which fuses dance, live music and spoken word has been called "exquisite" and of "vital importance" by audience members. Written by Aimee Suzara, the work was directed by Jose Saenz and Alex Torres with Directorial Support from Ellen Sebastian Chang (Theatre Bay Area). The work has been awarded the Zellerbach Community Arts Grant in 2006 and 2007 and features a stellar cast of dancers, actors & musicians including Ron Quesada, Rose Almario, Frances Sedayao, Aimee Espiritu, Grace Alvarez, Christina Ying and Aimee Suzara.
